Volunteer opportunities vary in terms of effort, responsibility, and the degree to which they are ongoing or one-time opportunities. Book Selling and Other Fundraising Activities

  • Selling books at the Book Seller
  • Joining the Book Seller Committee to plan activities
  • Staffing off site Pop-Up sales
  • Wrapping Books at Market Block Books for the winter holidays

Communication Opportunities (can be done from home)

  • Expanding Friends impact on Social Media
  • Creating marketing materials to announce special events
  • Identifying/organizing opportunities to gain new members
  • Publicizing/sharing notices of Library news and programs on social media, in print media, or with friends by word of mouth

Other

  • Assisting with Library housekeeping
  • Decorating, refurbishing the Library buildings (seasonal)
  • Presenting Library offerings to community groups
  • Staffing Library Outreach table at the Farmers Market with the Library Board
